New SREB Web 2.0 Resource Series Added to the NCLOR

As part of the SREB State Virtual Schools Alliance in partnership with the AT&T Foundation, a list of New Media/Web 2.0 Tools has been prepared especially for SREB and online teachers by Chris O’Neal, Faculty Associate for the George Lucas Educational Foundation. This list provides practical explanations and examples of numerous new media tools that have direct applicability for teachers. Most resources are intended to be used by students, primarily in an online environment. Some are geared more toward teacher productivity.

In both cases, the intent is to focus on learning applications for new media tools. As with any Internet resource, it is critical that teachers practice discretion when deciding which sites are appropriate for their grade level and content area. All of the sites and tools listed are free or have a free version for educators.

These resources have now been added to NCLOR and you can access the resources by using the browse by Resource Series or simply by searching on the term “SREB” from the LMSs or from the main NCLOR interface.
