CyArk 3D Objects Resource Series Added to the Open Collection

Today, 122 new resources from has been added to the NCLOR’s Open Educational Resources collection. CyArk was founded in 2003 to ensure heritage sites are available to future generations while making them uniquely accessible today. CyArk operates internationally as a non-profit organization with the mission of using new technologies to create a free, 3D online library of the world’s cultural heritage sites before they are lost to natural disasters, destroyed by human aggression or ravaged by the passage of time. The subjects included in this series are; Archeology, Architecture, U.S. History, World History and Historic Preservation.

Some of the 3D historical sites included in this resource series are; Mount Rushmore, Lincoln Memorial, Sydney Opera House, and the Tower of London.

The NCCCS courses that these resources may supplement are; ARC250, HUM140, HPT110, HIS115, and HIS131.

  • Log into the NCLOR and click on the More button on the left menu bar. Then click the Resource Series link and then CyArk.
  • If you are K-14 faculty, you can add the links to the resources directly to your LMS based course. (learn how)
