Periodic Table of Videos Series Updated within the OER collection of the NCLOR
This resource series has now been updated to include fixed links that point directly to the YouTube videos. This resource series includes short video clips that explain all 118 elements of the periodic table. This project, devised by Brady Haran a BBC-trained video journalist, who had spent a year filming University of Nottingham scientists at work. The approach was unconventional: no scripts or storyboards, but a passionate desire to appeal to a general audience.
This series is available to everyone in the NCLOR including guests and all videos include closed caption options.
The NCCCS courses that could be enhanced by using these resources are: CHM3001, CHM081, CHM082, CHM090, and CHM092.
