Notre Dame University OpenCourseWare added to the NCLOR


University of Notre Dame LogoToday, fifty new courses from the Notre Dame University OpenCourseWare were added to the NCLOR. The Notre Dame OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a free and open digital publication of course materials. By offering free, high-quality course materials to the world, OCW strives to overcome the barriers geography, economics, age and language present to the spread of knowledge.

The courses included in this resource series have links to lessons, assignments, exams, and additional resources. There are IMS package links in every course in order to download the complete course at one time. The subjects included are: Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Africana Studies, Anthropology, Arabic and Middle East Studies, Architecture, Center for Social Concerns, Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences, Classics, Computer Applications, English, History, Latino Studies, Mathematics, Peace Studies, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Poverty Studies, Sociology, Theology, and University Writing Program.

Harvard University Open Learning Initiative Resource Series Added to the NCLOR


The Harvard University Extension School’s Open Learning Initiative resource series includes 8 noncredit courses featuring Harvard faculty. This 194 item series is comprised of courses in disciplines such as: the classics, English, computer science, mathematics and history. All courses include lecture videos but some may include links to lecture notes and/or problem sets.

To access this resource series:

Yale University Open Courses added to the NCLOR


Enjoy the privilege of having Ivy League instructors delivery material to your students.  Open Yale Courses provide free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught by distinguished teachers and scholars at Yale University. This collection is a variety of subjects developed into a series of video lectures.  These resources have now been added as a Resource Series into the NCLOR.

Currently, there are 14 complete courses with syllabi, lecture notes, and resources.  In this collection, you will find courses on: Astronomy, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Economics, History, Physics, Political Science, and Psychology.  These resources are perfect as “value added” instruction for students or as professional development activities for instructors.
